Home service automation for plumbing, HVAC and electrical companies, built around your dispatch software.

When you're on a job and can't answer, that customer often calls the next company on Google. Kinetiq builds automation and custom tools around a home-service company's own systems: calls answered and booked into Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan, a text back for any call that slips through, review requests after each job, and a dashboard of the day's jobs and payments.

What home-service companies automate first

Every build starts with how your office already runs. These are the five places we usually suggest starting, as workflow automation wired into the tools you already use:

  • Calls you can't take on a job. Answered, quoted and booked into your dispatch software while you keep working.
  • Missed-call text-back. A call that rings out gets an instant text back, so the customer books with you instead of the next company.
  • After-hours emergencies. Sent to your on-call tech under your rules, or booked into the first emergency slot.
  • Review requests. A text after every finished job asking for a Google review, sent without anyone remembering to.
  • Paid invoices into QuickBooks. Payments sync to your books, so nobody retypes invoices at the end of the week.

An AI receptionist for plumbers, HVAC and home services

The receptionist is a custom build, not an app you rent: it's trained on your services, prices, ZIP codes and emergency rules, and runs on phone and AI accounts in your company's name. It's one example of the custom AI systems we build. Here is what it does on a typical call (or try the text preview):

  • "My water heater is leaking, can someone come today?" It checks your schedule, offers the next window, collects the address and gate code, quotes the service-call fee and books it. Your tech gets the job on their phone.
  • "How much to replace an AC unit?" It gives your range or explains that you quote on site, and books the estimate.
  • "There's water coming through the ceiling." Emergency rules: it transfers to the on-call tech immediately; if there's no answer, it books the first emergency slot and texts you.
  • "Are you licensed and insured?" Yes, with your license number, how long you've been in business and your service area.
  • "Do you service Norco?" It knows your ZIP codes and politely declines outside them.
  • Missed-call text-back. If a call does ring out, the caller gets a text within seconds with a booking link.

Built for the trades

  • Books into your dispatch software. Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, FieldPulse or Workiz where your account allows it, or Google Calendar for smaller crews. Real availability, not a separate calendar.
  • Knows your pricing rules. Service-call fee, after-hours rate, free estimates on replacements but not repairs: whatever your rules are.
  • Handles the "is he coming?" calls. It can see the schedule, tell the customer the tech's window and send an on-the-way text when the tech marks it.
  • Review requests. Two hours after a job closes, the customer gets a text asking for a Google review. More reviews help you show up higher on Google Maps.

Job dashboards and customer updates

Phones are one part of the day. The rest of the office's day goes to who's on which job, which invoices are unpaid, and customers asking when the tech will arrive. We can build custom software for that part too:

  • A job dashboard. Today's jobs, crews, open estimates and payments on one screen, pulled from your dispatch software and your payment processor.
  • A customer portal. Homeowners log in to a custom client portal to see job status, estimates and invoices, approve a quote and pay without calling the office.
  • Customer updates. Texts when a job is booked, when the tech is on the way and when the invoice is ready.

We built a live Stripe sales dashboard for a motorsports school. A job dashboard for a trades company is the same kind of build, on accounts your company owns.

What missed calls cost a one-truck plumber

A worked example with made-up numbers, not client data: say a one-truck plumber misses six calls a day and would have booked a third of them. That's two jobs a day left on the table, at an average ticket of a few hundred dollars each. After-hours calls tend to be emergencies, which are often the bigger tickets. The receptionist and missed-call text-back exist to catch exactly those.

What it costs

One flat build price, quoted in writing after a 15-minute call. The phone line and AI minutes bill to your company's own accounts, and there's no per-job or per-booking fee from us. If a system needs ongoing care, such as a receptionist we keep tuned, any flat monthly fee is quoted in writing next to the build price before you pay anything. How our pricing works.

We're based in Corona, in the Inland Empire, and work with home-service companies across the United States.

Home service automation and AI receptionist questions

What should a home-service company automate first?
Start with the calls you can't take on a job: an AI receptionist or missed-call text-back on after-hours and overflow calls. Review requests and invoice sync come next. On a free 15-minute call we look at how your office runs and tell you in writing what we'd build first and what it would cost.
Does the AI receptionist work with Housecall Pro or Jobber?
Yes. It can book real jobs into Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, FieldPulse and Workiz, or into Google Calendar for smaller crews. We confirm exactly what your account allows in week one.
Can it dispatch an emergency to my on-call tech?
Yes. You set the emergency rules and the on-call number. It transfers live and, if there's no answer, books the first emergency slot and texts you.
What if I only want it after hours?
That's where we usually suggest starting. Forward after-hours and overflow calls only, and keep answering during the day yourself.
Does it text back missed calls?
Yes. Any call that rings out gets a text within seconds with a booking link, and the reply goes to the receptionist.
